Our Story
Jen and Simone’s journey began as college best friends, united by a passion for helping children. Prior to starting Amazing Kids, Jen built her career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, caring for children and families, while Simone focused on education, helping students reach their potential. Today, they’ve brought their paths back together to create Amazing Kids—a practice built on friendship, compassion, and a shared mission to make autism evaluations faster, more accessible, and centered on every child’s individuality and potential.

Jennifer Hensley, DNP, CPNP-PC, PMHS, is a primary care pediatric nurse practitioner. With over a decade of dedicated service to special needs children, she has made significant contributions to the field through her pioneering work at the Autism Resource Clinic. Her mission, “Empower Parents with Teamwork,” underscores her commitment to supporting families navigating the complexities of autism.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Hensley has enriched the academic community as an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University for the past ten years. Her expertise has profoundly impacted the care of children with special needs.
